6 TIPS FOR WORKING AT HOME DURING QUARANTINE
Want to find out how to stay focused and productive while working from home during quarantine? Let’s go over 6 tips on how we can do just that.
Tip #1-Setup a time to get up every day
This may sound easy, but you can find yourself waking up later and later. To avoid this, set a time no later than 10 am. This allows for a fresh start each day.
Tip #2- Put on clothes, and NO pajamas don’t count
We feel good when we look our best. When we feel our best, we perform better. So, chuck that old shirt, sweats, and bedhead. So next time you have that afternoon Zoom meeting, you can actually turn on the video. Don’t worry, we’ve all been there.
Tip #3-Set up a workstation
Ideally we would love to sit in our beds all day. Unfortunately that doesn’t create an atmosphere to stay focused. If you can, find a space in your home with a desk (of any kind) and lots of sunlight. Sitting upright, sunlight, and space for a laptop (papers, etc) makes things not only comfortable, but a space to stay focused and organized.
Tip #4-Try to eat all three meals
Now that we are all home living our best quarantine life, we have time to cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Sometimes we forget or don’t have time to have for these meals, but working from home allows this. We should aim to have a well-balanced diet. Tip #5-Exercise
Youtube is an amazing source for finding at-home friendly workout videos. All you will need is yourself and thirty-minutes (or less). Love Bollywood dancing? Check out BollyX on youtube, it’s fun and you’ll be sweating by the end.
Tip# 6- Hydrate
This step is vital! DRINK YOUR WATER. An easy way to make sure you are drinking your water, is to take a bottle (or any cup), and ever time you look at it take a sip. You will head to the bathroom multiple times, but at least it’s in the comfort of your home. My favorite way to flavor my water so it’s not so boring is XS Coco Water in Strawberry Watermelon or Pineapple Coconut. Hydration is the key to staying focused during the workday!
