Weddings can be stressful. We want you to enjoy your special day, without having to excessively worry about this pandemic.

Due to COVID-19, all functions and events are to follow strict guidelines, ensuring the safety of all parties involved. Depending on where you plan on hosting an event, make sure to research that region’s maximum capacity allowed indoors or outdoors. Some places have so many cases of COVID-19, that you may not be able to hold a function at all, however, various places allow a maximum amount of at least 25 people.

Social Distancing & Masks

In order to ensure your guests will be protected, you will need to design a floor plan that spaces out everyone in an orderly fashion. This can be done in a variety of different ways.

A good idea is to create a seating chart that groups everyone by family since they are already in close contact with each other on the daily. You can put them in their own separate booths or cabanas, labeled for each set of people, that are six feet apart from the other booths.

All guests should be required to wear a mask when they choose to leave their designated booth. This is to ensure the safety of everyone involved.

Dance Floors

Although dance floors are where most of the action happens at weddings, they will allure all your guests together and break the social distancing provisions. It is recommended that you make sure not to include a dance floor when forming your wedding layout. This will get rid of the temptation for guests to leave their booth to dance and get in close contact with others. Instead, we insist that you play music through multiple speakers all around the wedding so that everyone can dance at their own booths. This is the safest way to have fun and dance at a wedding, while also avoiding putting everyone’s lives at risk.

Food/Drinks

Since everyone is going to be at their own booths, it is best to have a server deliver food to the tables instead of having a buffet-style reception or anything that requires guests to get out of their seats. It is also important to not include a bar when designing the layout because it will tempt guests to leave their designated area to get drinks. A bottle service style is recommended where you have alcohol and other desired beverages delivered to each booth.

You are already probably thinking about how masks are going to stand out and ruin the wedding pictures. But don’t worry, this is a significant time in our history that is going to be looked back on by future generations! These masks show that you were able to stay positive and happy by hosting your special day during a pandemic. It shows that nothing can interfere with the power of family and loved ones.

You can even pass out masks that match with the wedding theme so that it can accent your guest’s outfits and look like a fashion statement.

Since the photographer can’t be as hands-on when positioning the bride and groom to pose, it is best for the couple to think of poses beforehand to avoid any type of contact. When photographing a group of people, the photographer should mark on the ground where each person should stand to ensure they are not breaking social distancing protocols.

Hair & Makeup

Getting your hair and makeup done can be a very hands-on experience. It requires a lot of close contact with the face and you need to make sure to follow proper protocols for safety. You must make sure the artist doing your makeup or hair washes their hands, wears a mask at all times, and uses cleanses products/tools. It is also important to space out each person that is getting their makeup done, to avoid a huge group of people in one room without masks on.
