Seeing the look on our brides’ face after we just glammed them up is one of the best parts about the job! There is no better feeling them seeing them light up with joy on their big day. This is a day that will be remembered for forever. These pictures will be hung around your house and in photo albums for all to look at. We decided to begin a new blog series that will showcase our beautiful brides because we just can’t get enough of them.

Megana was one of our beautiful brides back in August who got married at the InterContinental New York Barclay. We had the chance to interview Megana that we want to share with you!

Tell us a bit about your daily habits when it comes to wearing makeup or doing your hair? What about when you go to events?
When it comes to my daily habits, I've had the same routine since high school! It's pretty simple and quick, which works for me. I use Neutrogena face wash, a moisturizer and always apply sunscreen. My daily makeup is pretty simple as well - I'll wear eyeliner, concealer and mineral powder foundation. When I go to events, I'll do a little more - eyeliner, mascara, concealer, medium coverage foundation, blush, lips.

Was makeup and hair an important decision in your vendor selection process?
”Very important! I think most girls can relate that you just want to look/feel beautiful on your wedding day! For me, I wanted a natural but elevated look (eg still look like myself but just done up a bit). When I met Bhargavi, she knew exactly what I meant. We did a trial beforehand, which was so much fun! She created the most amazing, natural look! I absolutely loved it!”
What was the inspiration behind your wedding clothes and jewelry? (this includes all pre wedding events Haldi, Mehndi, Sangeet, wedding, reception)
”I had no idea what I was looking for when I went shopping. I went in with an open mind and tried on a bunch of dresses from different stores and designers and picked the ones that made me feel beautiful!”

”Payal Keyal”
Where did you shop for your clothes and jewelry?
”My ceremony and reception outfits were from India. My Mehndi and Welcome dinner dresses I bought in the US. The jewelry was a mixture - some from India, the US, and some were gifts from my parents and father-in-law!”
