Our skin experts use a Skin Analyzer Machine (S.A.M), which uses black light technology to read under the layers of your skin. This helps determine what your skin really needs to look the best on your Big Day. If you do not have a Cinderella near you make an appointment with a local skincare specialist; a dermatologist or an esthetician to ensure your skin will look the best! This also a good time to start taking vitamins for skin, nails, and hair. You should also start a nutrition and fitness plan. You will want to be in the best shape of your life for all those photos.
30 days after: Follow up with your skin care specialist. Make sure that your skin is on the right track to perfection. Meet with your Cinderella Bridez certified skin expert to determine that your skin is doing what it is supposed to be doing.
180 days: Start to plan how you want to look on your big day. Create a Pinterest board or a vision board. Regardless of if you already have a Makeup Artist for your big day or not. It is a good idea to start planning out what you want you and your bridesmaid’s makeup and hair to look like for the wedding day. Pinterest is always a good place to start. Or if you like paper copies make a vision board. Print photos out or cut them out from a magazine. Glue them on to a larger piece of paper, making a collage.
120-90 days: Get a Trial
If you are still searching for your makeup artist for the big day or even if you have found them; make sure you meet with them and get a trial run of your makeup, hair, and nails for the big day. Think of this as your time to experiment. If you want a spray tan for your wedding get one to test out the look. If you feel unsure about a certain hairstyle, try it out. There are a few goals you want to achieve with a trial run. First, if you don’t have a makeup artist, hairstylist, or nail tech for your wedding, you find one you like and book them ASAP. Second, that you like the way you look for your wedding. This will be the happiest day of your life and the pictures will last a lifetime. The last thing you want is to look like and hate the way you look. Third, test how the makeup wears throughout the day. Your wedding will be a long day and you want to make sure your makeup lasts through all of it.
This is also a good time to finalize your bridal party numbers. This will give the makeup artist that you hire a chance to start ordering the products they need. Some questions to answer are: How many bridesmaids do you have? Will you're soon to be mother-in-law and your mother be getting their makeup done as well? Makeup artists want to ensure that they will have enough of everything to service everyone in your bridal party and family.
45 days: Final Schedule for the big day
As the day approaches it is important that everyone is on the same page. A final schedule should be discussed at length to ensure that there is enough time to get everyone’s makeup and hair done. This is easily done through a phone call with Cinderella Bridez or if you’re using another makeup artist they will have their own system too! This is also a good time to book a spray tan if you’re getting one. Pick out your wedding day nail color. Get your teeth whitened, get botox (only if you want it), pick out your beauty accessories, and kick up your workout routine. The next 45 days will be the home stretch! It’s so close!
30 days: Final Payment
Normally, 30 days before the big day you will want to make the final payment to your Makeup artist. Try your best to stick to this deadline.
2 weeks before: Prep
You are so close to the big day! Only two weeks away. In order to prepare your skin and body for the big day, make sure you get your hair done. If you’re getting a treatment done. adding some highlights, or coloring your hair this is the time to do it! If you haven’t already, start exfoliating two to three times a week. Here is a link on exactly how to exfoliate the best for your body click here to see it. You will also want to get your eyebrows done. If you get them waxed, threaded or shaped now is a good time to do it. This will allow the redness and puffiness to be gone by your wedding day while still maintaining the shape.
One week before:
One week before your wedding crunch time. You will want to start the week off with a gentle facial and root cover-up. When it comes to the facial make sure it is something you have done before. You want to make sure you have no reactions to any of the products being used and that your skin is glowing afterward. If you dye your hair this is the time to get a root cover-up. The last thing you want to worry about on your wedding day is your roots showing through. Five days before your wedding you will want to get a wax to allow your skin time to heal. This is also a good time to stop using products retinal and vitamin C. Basically anything that would be considered a chemical exfoliator. Two days before you will want to get that spray tan and get a manicure and pedicure.
Night Before: Sleep, hydrate, mask and scrubs, skincare, mediate
With all the craziness the night before your wedding it is important to take some time to reflex. Enjoy the company you have around you. Do some at-home face masks and skincare. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water! You want your skin to be glowing on the day of your wedding. Also, make sure you get some sleep. Tomorrow will be a busy day and you’re going to want a good night’s rest to keep your energy up!
